♥LOVE TIP  – Thursday February 23, 2012

Hello ♥LOVELIES,

Some ♥HIGHS and absolutely new things for me today!

♥We spent the day having adventures and discoveries in JAIPUR which is the capital city of the state of Rajasthan and it is also known as The Pink City because of the pink-coloured sandstone from which the buildings are constructed. A favourite city for me in our travels so far. Don’t you just love the idea of ‘a pink city’…..there’s a lot of similarity in colour to the New Mexico cities of Santa Fe and Albuquerque for those of you who know these cities……

♥We – that is, Shelton, Gem and Sophie and I went on an Elephant ride up the steep hillside to the The Amber Palace/Fort……they were so excited that they got to come out and play as they had to stay in the hotel when we went to the Taj Mahal as we were told we weren’t able to take back packs or bags and in fact could take as little as possible…. security is high in such places with X-rays and body searches at entry…..

♥In fact, today turned into a exploring-type-of-day with Gem and Sophie and I – we discovered lots of treasures and met many new friends……They got into a very excited conversation with ♥Freea and ♥Shelton at the Gates to the Amber Palace on a historical matter about Maharajas and Mughals and Rajastahnis…….you do have to ♥LOVE a man who talks with Teddies and dolls 🙂 ….and out in public too!!

♥Do you know we found one of our favourite rooms EVER!! – it is in The Amber Palace and it has lots of little mirrors in the designs all over the walls and ceiling…and the story told is that it was a very special place for the Maharajah and his wives….apparently with candles flickering at night there would be reflections and twinkling all around the room…what Magic!

Sharing ♥Highs for the day is a very good thing to do with the people you care about. It gives you an opportunity to reflect on all the great things that happen in a day and to check out what you are grateful for as well as learn about what are the things that matter to the people that you ♥LOVE……Like this evening I asked Shelton what was his ♥High for today and he said it was when I “nuzzled” his neck……I actually find that quite amazing considering all the wonderful things we did today…..it reminds me just how important it is to do ‘the little things’!!

So YES today was a very good day to play before we head back to Delhi tomorrow so that we can catch our flight down to Kerala very early on Saturday.
