“International Crossing the Bridge Day”

Ten years ago, at the end of one of our Adventure in Intimacy couples workshops, the atmosphere was riveting. The web of life was pulsing. From thin air, a vision of an “International Crossing the Bridge Day” emerged with a date of 11:11:12.

On this day of November 11, 2012, we see people all over the world crossing bridges. They will cross the bridge to each other, as well as cross real bridges, like the Golden Gate Bridge. “Bridging” events will sprout all over the planet, connecting our web of humanity and nations. On that day in Jerusalem, a summit will bring couples together as the grass roots teachers of “bridging”. The United Nations will be represented at this summit, and UN delegates will learn from couples about the “three invisible connectors”: the Space, the Bridge and the Encounter. On 11:11:12 a new consciousness will be born on our planet: the awareness and honoring of the sacred “space between” all humanity and nations.

Ten years have passed since we first saw that vision and Yumi and I are in a new season of our lives. Our energies are being called home. Inspired by Ecclesiastes we are saying: “There is a time for big world projects, and there is a time when Spirit calls you home”. On this day of 11:11:11 we are reaching out to let you know that while we continue to nurture the 11:11:12 vision, Yumi and I must also focus inward and on each other. The story of 11:11:12 will unfold differently than we had imagined.

Meanwhile, Yumi and I are continuing our beloved work at the grass roots level, teaching couples, therapists and leaders about the “three invisible connectors”. Nothing will make us happier than to show up as one of the couples at the summit in Jerusalem on 11:11:12, a summit organized by an as-yet mysterious campaign cabinet.

Why 11:11:12♥ This date first appeared from thin air and later we discovered that on November 11, 1918 (11:11:18), the First World War ended, with its last shot fired at 11:11 AM. We also learned that in the Mayan calendar, around November or December 2012, they expect the last day of the world as we know it. We see 11:11:12 as being the first day of a whole new world, a relationally mature and deeply connected world, and eagerly invite you to join us in bringing this vision to reality.
