DAILY LOVE TIP – Sunday October 2, 2011

Hello to you sweet Friends,

Happy October!! May this month be the beginning of many new adventures and discoveries for you……. An invitation to reflect and look back to the splendid month of September and choose what behaviours you want to leave behind and not carry forward….and to celebrate all the new learnings and Micro-MOVE-ments or Quantum Leaps that you have made that you want to continue to expand and practice, practice, practice,…..

MIRRORING PRACTICE: share with someone a minimum of 1 thing you are leaving behind and 1 thing you are celebrating and taking forward into October….and share about the meaning for you for a minimum of 5 minutes.

By the way, I was thinking that some of you may not have MIRRORING PARTNERS and would like to practice with someone….or you may like to try someone completely different to do these exercises with……if that is the case please leave a comment and I will pair you up with someone…..and you have options of meeting face-to-face, if in the same city, or using Skype or phone if not…………I always remember doing a group years ago and people were pairing up to do MIRRORING PRACTICE and a good-looking woman in her 60’s paired up with a good-looking guy in his 30’s and they would meet once a week in her local coffee shop where they would practise and this went on for many weeks…..she never told her women friends, who were very inquisitive, what they were doing and who this gorgeous young man was!!….she would laugh most heartily about it……and him too……:O)

So I wanted to drop in and share that the count down to The Big Day has truly started. Just 4 more sleeps!! ….Zoe and Gaurav arrived Home to Warm Fuzzy Hill today from Melbourne and it has been a hive of activity here……what a great production this wedding is to be!! One of Zoe’s job’s is a project manager and she has meticulously and thoroughly thought of everything it seems…..

Today we’ve had the photographer and his partner/assistant walking around with Zoe and Gaurav checking out good settings and angles and lighting and doing some preliminary shots….and friend Craig, who’s the marquee man and sound and lighting man, checking it all out……and Freea and Lee (Freea’s partner and one of the groomsmen) arrived and turned the lounge room and dining room/glass room – so-called because it has windows all around – upside down giving it a thorough Spring clean – even the windows! Yay! Big Thanks Sweeties…..and my sister Wendy and my nephew Ashley arrived with pots of marigolds for the Indian part of the ceremony and all sorts of dishes and equipment for the buffet….followed by ‘builder’ Ashley fixing the fence. Another Yay! and Big Thanks!…and friend Rick arrived with coloured paints in hand and spruced up our Welcome to Warm Fuzzy Hill sign…….. and Gaurav is in the process of repainting the rainbow Heart-Path stones…..and Shelton’s been putting the final coat of paint on the new office walls…….and I’ve been running from one job to another and finished off with making another yummie goji berry cacao cheesecake tonight!!!!…….Lots of Yays!!!…and Phew!!

Tomorrow there will be lots more happening with the new path going in, carpet layers in office in afternoon, patio installers putting in finishing touches,………bricklayer finishing off building steps and low garden walls, more work in garden…….Zoe’s going to see the jeweller and confirm wedding ring and then go and confirm the order for wedding cake….and so on and on……….seems like there’s another 50 jobs to do…….and the rest!! and Phew again!!!

……And the challenge is to do them JOYously and generously and being grateful for the LOVE-ing community that is surrounding us………..I own up that at times my tired and ungenerous dinosaur Self  has looked at the half-empty glass and I have been uncaring and unkind to Shelton who has been so AMAZING in all that he has been doing…………..My commitment is to do better tomorrow. Isn’t it awful that we take out ‘things’ on those closest to us♥ Do you do that too♥……

And Oh…very important as mother-of-the-bride…. I still have to work out what I am wearing…..a quick check in with fab designer Faye from Motto in Melbourne thinks I!!…some hinting that hey Mum/Susie are you going to wear make up and you are getting your hair done!!! This is she who hasn’t been to a hairdresser in probably 20 years and even then it was to a friend who I trusted implicitly….. and she who has never dyed or permed her hair,…… well yes, way back curled it occasionally….. and make-up….. yes Shelton would love to see that – again she who has got to the ripe old age of 61 and hasn’t used make-up since my early twenties, and……hasn’t got any and doesn’t know how to use it…..I wonder how many other women you know like that!!

And a few of us were gifted on Saturday night by getting a preview of Zoe looking gorgeous as she tried on her wedding dress….or more correctly the bridesmaids dressed her – what a lovely tradition it is to see her sister and friend so lovingly taking care of her and dressing her!! It felt very special!

So to end off here’s the quote of the day/week/month even maybe – there’s lots in it….. Thanks again to Positive & Inspirational Quotes.

♥’Letting go doesn’t mean we don’t care.
Letting go doesn’t mean we shut down.
Letting go means we stop trying to force
outcomes and make people behave.
It means we give up resistance to the way
… things are, for the moment.
It means we stop trying to do the impossible – controlling
that which we cannot – and instead, focus
on what is possible – which usually means
taking care of ourselves. And we do this
in gentleness, kindness, and love, as much as possible.”
