♥ DAILY LOVE TIP – Sunday December 25, 2011
Helloooooo most wonderful lovely ♥Ones,
“Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.” ~ Calvin Coolidge
How well put by Coolidge…. At this time of the year is when I experience people caring and ♥LOVE-ing so much more than any other time………and I imagine whether you formally celebrate Christmas or not, you would find this to be true…….I am touched and filled by overflowing sharings of good wishes and warmth and ♥LOVE by people on sites like Facebook and the numerous stories people share about their Christmas experiences……
I count Christmas as such an important time of the year as people’s awareness towards other people is at a much higher level than it is at other times……..
And it is exactly this that I love most about the Christmas season………It is like A MAGIC WAND °*”˜ ♥♥♥˜”*°•.•.¸♥ is waved over the world and people care in lots more ways than they would normally…………doing a multitude of random acts of kindness and bringing joy to others……
I came upon a post by Alan Cohen Is There Really a Santa Claus♥ – The real truth about the jolly guy in the red suit…. which spoke to me and really captured the essence of what is true for me. Here’s some pieces that stood out:
“………Santa Claus is a universal, eternal, life-giving idea. The spirit of Santa Claus is limitless, and can express through many portals simultaneously. For all the men dressed in red suits sitting on thrones in mall lobbies or ringing bells on street corners, any of them who capture and embody the spirit of Santa Claus are truly “channeling” Santa.
When you buy your children presents, lay them under the Christmas tree, and bask in their delight as they open their gifts on Christmas morning, you are a vessel through which the spirit of Santa Claus is delivering love to earth. Wherever there is love, joy, and the sincere sharing of gifts on Christmas, Santa Claus is there.
So the next time a child asks you, “Is there really a Santa Claus♥” you can answer “yes” with the confidence that you might answer the question, “Do you love me♥”
How can you be a vessel for the spirit of Santa Claus to bring joy and delight to the world♥………..”
Question for you: what do you love most about Christmas time♥ What has stood out and touched you most this Christmas♥ What brought you joy and delight♥
And do you know often times you don’t know which random acts of kindness may be the most important that you do in any one day……and how sometimes something ‘little’ may just be huge and impactful to others….like our new neighbour a couple of days ago bringing us a gift of a small plate of Christmas cakes made by her very young children…., and sometimes not even “given” directly to you….like for instance my friend ♥Deb shared on Facebook how she was at the layby counter in Kmart picking up her kids’ prezzies and there was this lady behind her trying to work out who was going to get presents this year because she could only afford to pay off one of her laybys…and she chose the prezzies for her grand kids. What the delightful ♥Deb did was pay her other layby off so she could take all the presents home!! Over 40 people like me were so touched by her action and commented on her post…how is that for ripples of ♥LOVE- not to mention the lady herself and the recipients of her gifts!! You are inspiring ♥Deb!!°*”˜ ♥♥♥˜”*°•.•.¸♥
Hey, I vote for let’s choose to live like every day is “Christmas day”….feeling the Christmas spirit…adopting that “state of mind”……..living from that heart-open energy in our own lives, as well as extending it to the lives of others.
And remembering it’s not just about the physical gifts but about taking/making time for the ones we ♥LOVE most and making them and what is important to them a priority in our lives…..making sure that we share with them regularly where we are being fully present, giving them the gift of our undivided quality attention….giving them the gift of our presence……
Question for you: What was the most memorable gift you received this Christmas♥…..and the one you most enjoyed giving♥ Share with those people what was, and why it was so memorable for you.
Just want to end off with saying I feel very grateful for the generosity from so many towards me – from my dear family and friends both ‘old’ and cherished as well as those of you new to my heart. You all touch my life and heart in your own unique and special ways…..♥
I am blessed and grateful I have been and continue to be given so much. Thank you for being part of my life and sharing your ♥LOVE, ♥JOY and ♥Kindness and being part of susies♥heartpath blog community and showing up and reading and applying what I share about in your lives. My wish is that your heart and home and life is filled with even more ♥LOVE and the Christmas “state of mind” this whole coming New Year and with wishes for peace, harmony and goodwill to all….
My LOVE AND BLESSINGS, ♥SUSIE
Thanks to a favourite artist of mine, Lisi Martin for her well loved, delightful, evocative images of Christmas.

“It matters not who you love, where you love, why you love, when you love, or how you love, it matters only….that You love.” ~ John Lennon
Thank you for sharing Susie, for the quotes by Lennon and Proust especially. Hadn’t heard them before and absolutely love them! Sending love!
Yes dear ♥Rebecca, Proust’s quote: “Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” is special and I am grateful to You for being in my life for you are indeed ‘a charming young gardener who makes my soul blossom’…..And also thank you for sharing what makes your soul blossom…..
And John Lennon’s “It matters not who you love, where you love, why you love, when you love, or how you love, it matters only….that You love.” in relation to you brings up for me gratitude at how strong your ♥LOVE is – what an awesome young woman you are!!
LOVE♥ from a blossoming Susie…..
PS: Wow!! I’ve just remembered a friend who used to call me Blossom when I was about your age (early 20’s) :O)…and it is such a lovely memory! Thank You!
