♥LOVE TIP – Monday February 6, 2012
Hello cherished and valued ♥Ones,
Monday was flying time – Great flights all the way on Singapore Air: – from Perth to Singapore, Singapore to Delhi, and Delhi to Chandigarh. I’ve forgotten how good a carrier Singapore Air is!………
Singapore’s CHANGAI airport is always for me like a warm familiar place…..home almost! It has so many great memories for us. For those of you who don’t know, my partner Shelton is an American and he has a house in Seattle, Washington in the north-west of the United States…..In the beginning years of our relationship (which began in 2001) we were travelling back and forth between the US and Australia about every 3 months for the first few years as we could only get 3 months visas for each other’s countries and we wanted to be together…….hence lots of stopovers in Singapore on the way between Perth and Seattle….so we discovered lots of great ‘nooks and crannies’ and great places to ‘hang out’………so as we had a 4 and 1/2 hour wait we headed for Terminal 2 and I indulged and had a foot massage followed by a comfy couple of hours nap on the couches just near there. Great hint for travellers with long stopovers!!……. And then our departure at 2.30am – and next stop India!
Hello from Incredible INDIA🙂
Coming into the immigration area in Terminal 3 at the Indira Gandhi International Airport is a surprise and a delight. We were greeted by some amazing pieces of art. What a WELCOME and what a treat!
Firstly, spread right across the top of the passport control area is a wall of hands showing a number of Mudr♥s –
Mudras are expressive hand gestures that form an intrinsic part of Indian Classical Dance, Yoga and visual arts. Mudras are believed to channelize natural forces and aid spiritual and mental well being by enhancing the flow of energies through the body.
The following mudras have been used as a part of the design at the T3 Terminal. [Source – http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/DIALmudras.pdf – includes a picture of each of the hand positions]
1) Abhaya Mudr♥ – A sign of blessing / greeting that denotes protection or reassurance. The idea conveyed here is that ‘you are safe, be fearless, I am here to shield you from all harm’ ……It is actually one of the simplest mudras: An open hand and the fingers are bent slightly almost like someone is trying to reach out….. This one is my favourite with the lovely Shelton in front….who is also my favourite 🙂
2) Varada Mudr♥ – Charity and service – The act of giving, in love and in benevolence
3) ♥k♥sha Mudr♥ – This mudr♥ conveys the aspiration to harness the energy of the air and the sky and guiding this energy to positive activities where it is most needed.
4) Mayur Mudr♥ – An expression of tremulous joy, just as a peacock’s fan like plume dances in the wind. This mudr♥ symbolizes flow and joy, new directions and the oncoming of novel tidings
5) Chatura Mudr♥ – This mudr♥ connotes the presence of aesthetic pleasures or sweetness in life; connoting eyes or a face; and lastly, the proof of being/ promise. In geometry, chatura also means a square, and since a square means creation, it is also a symbol of genesis
6) Tripat♥ka Mudr♥ – Denotes the application of tilaka or victory mark on forehead, but specifically denotes the hoisting of a flag composed of three fabrics or colours, hence tri-pat♥ka. Definitely symbolizing journey, travel, arrival, welcome and victory.
7) Pr♥♥a Mudr♥ – Pr♥♥a symbolizes life force. Life force is air. This symbol expresses the inhalation and exhalation of this life-force, our tenuous link to our environment. This mudr♥ seeks to strengthen this linkage between the individual life form and the ever throbbing life-force of the universe
8) Trishul Mudr♥ – Symbolizes three-ness, trinity, the trident and progress through energy and zeal.
9) Pr♥n♥y♥ma Mudr♥ – This is one of the yogic hand gestures used to alternate the breath through the nostrils during N♥di Shodhana Pr♥n♥y♥ma, a sort of regulation of our breathing through alternate nostrils. Symbolises good health, equilibrium, well-being and life force.
I accept all these BLESSINGS and offer them to you too!
We then collect our baggage and get ‘picked up’ and ushered by an Indian employee of Jet Airways who takes over our very full luggage cart…..shepherding us right through the airport right up to the front of the check-in line (past about 50 other people!!) for our last short flight from Delhi to Chandigarh…….. Hey, sometimes all one can do is stand back and marvel at how well we are taken care of!!!!!
Through security one more time and we are greeted by another amazing sculpture which depicts 12 asana’s of the Surya Namaskara or as known in English – Salute to the Sun… which particularly seemed fitting as it was not long after sunrise……..and also felt somehow to me as symbolizing the perfection of the new beginnings before us…..
We walk on a bit further and another message:
and then another: “No matter how far You go remember where you are from”
What an amazing amount of messages and BLESSINGS for the beginning of our journey in India! How can our time here be anything other than MIRACULOUS!
And then arriving into my daughter ♥Zoe’s ♥LOVE-ing arms in Chandigarh at 9.40am – how truly blessed I am!
♥MIRRORING TOPIC: Share with someone/with us what this post brings up for you. Share about your experience of airports and travelling. ♥MIRROR each other for a minimum of 5 minutes.
With wishes for your day to be full of MIRACLES – and a reminder of ♥SARK’s wonderful message – “you are always on your way to a miracle!” ……Invite miracles by opening your heart and hands and saying – Miracles come find me!……. Much ♥LOVE and BLESSINGS, Susie♥

Hi Susie and Shelton
The pictures are beautiful. I do hope your retreat program goes very well – lucky people!
You mentioned you know Singapore very well. My husband and I will be spending four days there for my 60th birthday (before flying to the US for three weeks with my sister) and if you can suggest some great things to do there, I would be appreciative. If anyone else has ideas to make my four days memorable, please feel free to suggest. We are going in early July.
Warm wishes to everyone
Chris
Hello dear ♥Chris,
Thanks for the good wishes! We are very excited about our Retreat in Kerala and know it will be rejuvenating and full of discoveries for all participating.
A few of us are are stopping over in Singapore for a few days on the way home after Kerala (from March 7-11) so will update you from there with some ideas to make your four days memorable……. Singapore Zoo is always a great day out.
Happy 60th Birthday year! What is you birth date♥ ♥LOVE Susie
Susie you are obviously in a beautiful place on so many levels…..enjoy, enjoy, enjoy
♥Suzi,
Yes I am in a beautiful place on many levels. Great to have you name that – it feels affirming……….It’s interesting I have just come back to the hotel to spend some time just doing ‘whatever’ while the others have all gone off to a neighbouring town to shop for wedding clothes for the guys…..feeling a bit tired and needing some space from the busyness of the roads and the shops/markets……noticed if I don’t take care of myself at those times I can easily fall into being “a Fault Finder” instead of being “a ♥LOVE finder”….It really is a continuing intentional choice I need to make as to which way I see the world and thus experience it and thus interact with it.
Hope you are enjoying, enjoying, enjoying…..as well…:) ♥LOVE Susie
What a wonderful way to enter into India. And thank you for the link/info about the mudras. I use the hand as a symbol frequently in my art but just because I like it. Now if I want to convey a particular message I’ll be able to do so.
Have a joyous and blessed journey! xo
Hello ♥Susan sweetums,
I’m interested to hear about how you use the hand as a symbol frequently in your art – sounds special…… I always love discovering new info – like I have also loved the Abhaya Mudr♥ hand without knowing it’s meaning – What a gift for us to all carry the blessing with us – ‘you are safe, be fearless, I am here to shield you from all harm’ ……on all our joyous and blessed journeys…. Gratitude and ♥LOVE Susie.
Such a beautiful airport! A fantastic blend of public building and heartfelt beauty. I love it! Especially after a long flight. I hope your trip is completely amazing, and look forward to hearing more about it. Em x
Hi ♥Emma,
Isn’t it amazing how Art and beauty are so refreshing and revitalizing! Thanks for the insight and your description – “A fantastic blend of public building and heartfelt beauty”…..
We have a major freeway overpass being built about 20 minutes from where we live and they are doing a huge and amazing art piece on the grey concrete walls – huge splashes and swirls of red, yellow, greens and it feels such a gift watching it evolve but as well I know it will be such a joy to drive past it regularly rather than just grey concrete walls……How wonderful to have artists around us who create such beauty in so many forms…….
Thanks for your good wishes for a completely amazing trip…..if it didn’t get even any better it would already have been completely amazing – Yay!! Just the preparations for the wedding have been such fun and joyousness♥…I’m looking forward to writing about it all……
♥LOVE Susie
Hello from BBTL, I loved reading this post. What a different world than snowy Toronto today, thanks for transporting me 🙂
Hello ♥Christie in snowy Toronto,
I always marvel at how our words and stories are so transporting….a great reminder of the power we have to lift and inspire others….and across vast distances…….more miracles….
Thanks for visiting and commenting, ♥LOVE Susie.
That airport is amazing… what a welcoming place with inspirational pieces. Such a far cry from the sad airports here in NY. I hope your trip is full of wonder and you and your daughter have wonderful times together.
Hello ♥Marjie,
I’ve learned that what is really important to do when entering any environment is ‘look through the eyes of ♥LOVE’ – or ‘look through the eyes of my ♥heart’…….. I also choose ♥SARK’s wonderful invitation – “you are always on your way to a miracle!” ……Invite miracles by opening your heart and hands and saying – Miracles come find me!……
I’ve learned it doesn’t really matter what the environment (or person) what is important is which parts of it/them that I pay attention to…..and which parts of me do the looking….
This has already been so important here in India where there is so much poverty and dirt and rubbish and rushing and busyness and impatience and pushiness…..but more about that in upcoming post…
And I do have some fond memories of airports in New York… 🙂 ….but that is another story too!
Thank you for taking the time to visit and for your good wishes and also for your reassuring comment on BBTL. It means a lot to me.
♥LOVE Susie.
I look and listen for messages, too:)
happy trails to all of your hearts,
Jennifer
