♥ DAILY LOVE TIP – Sunday January 1, 2012
Greetings ♥FOLKS,
2012 is here and here we are in this moment in time – NOW!
For this new month of January I have decided I will post on random days – see it as me surprising you!……….♥°*”˜ ♥♥♥˜”*°•.•.¸♥….
One of my favourite quotes to begin the year is one from Sarah Ban Breathnach’s book – ♥SIMPLE ABUNDANCE – A DAYBOOK of COMFORT and JOY. I have indulged myself with this quote for many years:
“…….time is the New Year’s bountiful blessing: three hundred sixty five bright mornings and starlit evenings; fifty two promising weeks; twelve transformative months of beautiful possibilities; and four splendid seasons. A simple abundant year to be savoured.”
Simple Abundance is also on my favourite books list by the way……! Yours too♥
I shared the Gratitude video on the blog ♥ DAILY LOVE TIP – Saturday December 17, 2011 – “A Good Day”….begin by opening your eyes and be surprised…. ….Today I am going to share this video again as a friend posted a different link on his Facebook wall – thanks Joshua – which shows the film maker Louie Schwartzberg [who is an award-winning cinematographer, director, and producer whose notable career spans more than three decades providing breathtaking imagery for feature films, television shows, documentaries and commercials] as he introduces the video as part of a TEDxSF presentation. His time lapse photography which features in the video is STUNNING…..
I so enjoyed the addition of the introduction given by Schwartzberg I thought it merited sharing. In fact, I have decided to nurture myself and watch this video every day for January…….at least!!………and I invite you to do it with me……
By the way it does amaze and astound me that no-one has commented on the blog about the ‘Good Day’ post at all!! I do start wondering whether anyone is out there at times♥♥♥………mmmmmmmmmmmm♥°*”˜ ♥♥♥˜”*°•.•.¸♥….hello….helloooooooooo♥♥ :O)

The whole thing is STUNNING and heart opening!…..’and a Feast for the eyes and the Soul’ as Joshua put it………….♥°*”˜ ♥♥♥˜”*°•.•.¸♥
“I am in love with Mother Earth” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
We have so many reasons to be happy.
The Earth is filled with love for us, and patience.
Walking mindfully, we are nourished by the trees, the bushes, the flowers, and the sunshine.
We rely on the Earth, and the Earth relies on us.
Whether the Earth is beautiful, fresh, and green, or arid and parched, depends on our way of walking.
Please walk gently on the Earth. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
Treading gently and purposefully and with gratefulness……and waiting & hungering for some connection….. Have a splendid year……….. ♥LOVE AND BLESSINGS, SUSIE.
Susie – yes! I’m out here and listening. 🙂
The video is magnificent. It’s so radically simple; it’s teaching; it’s invitation. In an instant we can wake up to the abundance around and within. The girl at the beginning says it all – going deeper we find wonder and magic. So yes I am here (and I bet many others are too) – heart more open thanks to you. With blessings for your hunger to be quenched. xo
Yay my deep thanks dear ♥Elizabeth. I can always count on you to be there and show up and listen and share from such a generous open-♥hearted place……helping me to find more wonder and magic….. Your appreciations and acknowledgments fill my heart and soul……….and quench my hunger
I’m curious about that hunger to hear from people coming up again….it has been feeling strong ……I’ve decided to write about it again on the blog with the intention of exploring how to quench it …With much valuing of you and your sharing ….LOVE♥ Susie.
Just read your response to mine. Will check “send email alert” from now on so I can stay with the thread.
Hunger to be seen and responded to. Oh yes – seems like a healthy impulse, which we often judge (as you playfully expounded upon in your recent post – unhelpful stories we make up). I notice that I also have the habit of putting the kabash on my binky hungers by telling myself to be more
selfless. Just another self-protective strategy. La de da. Much more interesting and lively to have affection for my need and put it out. So once again you have inspired me – and in thus case – specifically – to be more curious about those moments when a need arises – and pause with it – offering it safe harbor – instead of judgement and the indictment to be more bodhisattva. This is juicy territory. 🙂
♥Elizabeth Hi –
Yes a good reminder for all to – check “send email alert” to stay with the thread.
And Yes such juicy territory :O) for all our ‘binky hungers’! How great that we feed each other. Gratitude that you are sharing and exposing your protective strategy of being selfless – I see you! ….. and as you’ve read – me too!….. a lovely picture to imagine you putting your loving arms around those soft vulnerable binky, hungry parts of yourself and offering them affection and a safe harbor instead of judgement…..Imagine me keeping on calling you to this♥……keeping your ‘binky parts’ moored to your ♥LOVE-ing heart…….
With warmth and affection and LOVE, Susie♥
