♥ DAILY LOVE TIP – Tuesday December 27, 2011

Helloooooo special PEOPLE,

We are moving close to the end of this wonderful year of 2011 and many are contemplating what they have achieved….. as well as reflecting on what they wish to create and prioritize in 2012…. Do you do this♥ Do you make an inventory at regular times of your achievements and your goals♥…… Seriously…..What it is that you want in your life♥……. What do you want to let go of…….. and release and replace♥……Which patterns do you want to change♥……….

This is something that I like to do. At these times I turn to people I see as Elders and Mentors to inspire and enthuse me…….and today I decided I would indulge myself with visiting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama……. Here’s some of his pieces that impacted me…..

A Feast of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s wisdom:

“The basic foundation of humanity is compassion and love. This is why, if even a few individuals simply try to create mental peace and happiness within themselves and act responsibly and kind-heartedly towards others, they will have a positive influence in their community.”

“My hope and wish is that one day, formal education will pay attention to what I call “education of the heart.” Just as we take for granted the need to acquire proficiency in the basic academic subjects, I am hopeful that a time will come when we can take it for granted that children will learn, as part of the curriculum, the indispensability of inner values: love, compassion, justice, and forgiveness.”

“Even more important than the warmth and affection we receive, is the warmth and affection we give. It is by giving warmth and affection, by having a genuine sense of concern for others, in other words through compassion, that we gain the conditions for genuine happiness. More important than being loved, therefore, is to love.”

The Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu

“So far, of the twenty-first century, just over a decade has gone and the major part of it is yet to come. It is my hope that the twenty-first century will be a century of peace, a century of dialogue – a century when a more caring, responsible, and compassionate humanity will emerge. This is my prayer as well.”

“Let us cultivate love and compassion, both of which give life true meaning. This is the religion I preach. It is simple. Its temple is the heart. Its teaching is love and compassion. Its moral values are loving and respecting others, whoever they may be. Whether one is a lay person or a monastic, we have no other option if we wish to survive in this world.”
